DELSEY PARIS x VISUALPLEASURE

A six-month Instagram takeover built around 24 artists in 24 countries and 6 continents.

Instead of a roundtrip shoot, we sent the products on a creative journey, creating 70+ unique visuals and 700+ cultural touchpoints worldwide along the way and connecting DELSEY with new creative audiences.

This was our way of turning a luggage campaign into a global creative conversation — powered by the community, not the algorithm.

STRATEGY & DIRECTION

Each week, a DELSEY suitcase was sent to a new country and placed in the hands of a local artist. Every artist created three original visuals: two for DELSEY’s feed, and one for VISUALPLEASURE. This created a clear rhythm across both channels, with creative control placed where it mattered: in the hands of the contributors.

All content was supported by interviews, context-driven captions, and monthly blog articles on DELSEY’s travel site. Check it out here: https://int.delsey.com/de/blogs/travel-blog/

PRODUCTION

The entire campaign was produced and managed by VISUALPLEASURE — from initial concept through to rollout.

We oversaw the full artist coordination process: selecting, briefing, and supporting 24 creatives across 24 countries. Every artist worked within a defined brief but retained the freedom to interpret the DELSEY products in their own voice and setting.

The setup was remote, distributed, and highly controlled. A campaign that relied less on centralised travel and more on structure, clarity, and trust in the creatives we brought in.

This campaign was made possible by an unusually open, trusting collaboration between DELSEY and our studio.
A shared belief in the value of creativity and confidence.

For the country divider posts on Instagram, we wanted something simple but meaningful. A recurring visual element that could connect all 24 countries while staying true to DELSEY’s brand.

Skies have always been part of DELSEY’s identity. They speak to travel, freedom, and the feeling of movement — themes that align with their visual language and values. Rather than using generic stock imagery, we collaborated with artist Eric Cahan, whose Sky Series features stunning gradient photographs of skies taken around the world. His work felt like the perfect fit.

Eric’s sky imagery later became the signature visual for DELSEY’s New Horizons travel blog posts — extending the campaign’s tone and consistency across platforms.

For each continent, we sourced real stickers representing the countries visited that month. Every week, a new sticker was added to the suitcase — one for each country, layered in order. The result: a slow-building, six-part stop-motion animation that grew with the campaign.

Each GIF served as a continent recap, showing progress over time and marking the campaign’s ongoing journey in a tactile, brand-relevant way. By the end of the takeover, the suitcase held 24 stickers.

Thank you.

To DELSEY PARIS. Thank you for the trust, collaboration, and creative freedom. This project could only come to life with a partner open to taking bold steps and believing in something different. It’s rare to find that kind of confidence in a brand, and we’re grateful for it.

To all artists. Thank you for your talent, dedication, and vision. You gave this campaign its soul, and we’re proud to have worked with each one of you.

To every crew member, contributor, and supporter behind the scenes: thank you for your time, energy, and effort. From logistics to editing, from writing to scouting, this project was a shared achievement.

It was a journey across 24 countries, six continents, and countless creative minds. We’re proud of what we built together.
