Social Media Takeover Campaign
”Prepare for Departure”
OVERVIEW
’Prepare for Departure’ was a four-week pre-campaign for DELSEY Paris, created to bridge a delay in our upcoming global 6-month long Instagram takeover. Rather than fill the gap with placeholder content, we proposed a standalone editorial series, one that would set the tone for the campaign to come.
Shot in Germany and developed entirely by VISUALPLEASURE, the series introduced a slower, more reflective pace to DELSEY’s feed. It explored the rituals, moods, and mental shifts that happen in the lead-up to travel, before the destination, before departure.
The result was a focused set of images, video, and written content that helped reposition DELSEY as a brand rooted not just in luggage, but in creative storytelling and cultural relevance.
THE CHALLENGE
Originally scheduled to begin in early January, the DELSEY Paris global takeover was delayed due to internal approvals, legal coordination, and campaign planning. This created a four-week gap in the brand’s Instagram feed, a period with no content but continued audience visibility.
THE TASK
Fill the gap with original content that didn’t feel like a placeholder.
Make it aligned with the upcoming campaign but able to stand on its own.
Deliver it fast, without compromising visual or conceptual standards.
Keep the momentum, and the audience engaged.
STRATEGY / DIRECTION
We approached Prepare for Departure as a conceptual warm-up. Not just content, but context. The strategy was to slow things down and reset the pace. Before the global campaign could take off, we’d anchor DELSEY in something quieter: mood, movement, and minimalism.
Visually, we leaned into structure, tone, and transitional moments.
Narratively, we framed travel as a mindset shift, not a destination.
Tactically, we built each post to feel self-contained but clearly part of a larger arc.
The pre-campaign wasn’t just meant to tease what was next. It was designed to make that arrival feel earned.
PRODUCTION
The entire campaign was produced in-house over a tight two-week timeline. We handled creative development, pre-production, casting, production, and post, end to end.
We shot on location in Germany with a rotating setup of studio, home, and transit environments. The approach was built for efficiency: photography, video, reels, and motion assets were captured in parallel to maximize output across formats.
PERFORMANCE
In the four weeks leading up to the global campaign, Prepare for Departure delivered both continuity and growth.
• 12 original posts (photo + video)
• Organic engagement rate: up to 9% on key posts
• Total reach: 389,231 impressions (January only)
• Zero media spend — all results achieved organically
The pre-campaign helped maintain visibility, elevate DELSEY’s feed quality, and carry momentum into the official launch of the New Horizons: World Tour.
